So mine is a chai latte..ok so more like a regular tea latte..but a latte nonetheless.
It is super easy to make especially if you have the right tools. The biggest reason for this post is to say that I do not like ordering tea or coffee from coffee shops. Why? Because they tend to be scolding hot and I have to wait about 20min for it too cool down. In Toronto, I usually ask for a few ice cubes to be dropped in my cup, but in London..I have received some of the most confused and judgy faces. So since my bf got a milk frother, I have been making my own...in the perfect temperature....for a perfect latte.
Tips for the perfect latte:
1. Make sure to heat up the milk a bit warmer than lukewarm in order for it to froth properly, I usually put it in the microwave for about 1 min.
2. The way I keep the temp down for my tea is to add a 1/3 of lukewarm water to the boiling kettle water in my mug. For this example the milk cools the boiling water down a bit which brings it to the perfect temperature.
3. Make sure to get a proper frother, ours is from here. It is inexpensive but effective. A good combo.
And there you have it....a frothy fabulous cup o latte.
